First Responders “Preemptive PrayerWalk” for North at Central Football Game, Friday, Sept 3rd, 5:30-6:00 PM at 20th & Davenport

We are thankful for a fairly quiet summer in Omaha, but historically with the start of school violence spikes. We had five homicides in September 2009.

Omaha 360 in partnership with the Omaha Police Department is requesting a Preemptive PrayerWalk for the Central-North Football game this Friday.

NE Precinct Captain Kerry Neumann informed me that the game at Central High school is a concern for them. More so than any other game this season. They plan to have over 20 officers and gang unit personnel there in addition to school security.

I am out of town so Femi Awodele (402) 490-339 and Pastor Bruce Williams (402) 208-1611 will be leading this PW.

Directions: Friday, at 5:30 PM, we will meet on the East side of 20th Street and Davenport for prayer and further instructions to PrayerWalk the area.
The game begins at 5:00 PM but we will meet at 5:30 so PrayerWalkers getting off work at 5:00 can participate.

Parking: I suggest PrayerWalkers park in the Civic Center parking areas along Chicago and 19th Streets then meet on the corner of 20th St & Davenport. Click here for a Google Map Link

This is the ninth time we have been asked to do a Preemptive PrayerWalk. In all eight previous Preemptive PrayerWalks there was not only no violence that night, but no significant violence at that site for at least a week.

Thank You for your faithfulness to stand in prayer with our police and community.
If you cannot attend please be in prayer during the day and evening for exciting but peaceful games all over town.
